LLM Admission in India
LLM Admission 2023 is done on the basis of entrance exams across most of the
top colleges. Universities accept the score of all the national or university-level
entrance exams that a candidate appears for.
CLAT Application Process began on August 08, 2023, and was ongoing till
November 13, 2022. CLAT 2023 was held on December 18, 2022, to offer LLM
Admission 2023. AILET exam has been successfully conducted on December 11,
2022. AILET Registrations were open from September 07, 2022, to November 20,
2022. LSAT 2023 Registrations for the June session have begun and are open till
May 26, 2023.
LLM is a postgraduate Law Course of 2 years and is generally pursued in
specializations such as International Law, Corporate Law, Business Law,
Criminal Law, and many others, by doing extensive study and research to gain
expertise in that particular area of expertise. To seek LLM Admission 2023,
candidates must have completed their undergraduate law degree in either
LLB/BA LLB/BBA LLB/B.Com LLB/B.Sc. LLB from a recognized
college/institute/university and must have secured a minimum of 50-55% marks
in their undergraduate program.

LLM Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria
To seek admission to the LLM course, candidates must fulfill the minimum
eligibility criteria.
Candidates must qualify for LLM entrance exams to enroll for the LLM
course and their desired specialization.
Candidates must have done their undergraduate degree from a recognized
university and must have scored a minimum of 55% marks.
5% relaxation is given to reserved category students as per reservation
norms set by the government.
LLM Admission 2023: Entrance Exams

entrance exams. Candidates can sit for any national, state, or university-level
entrance exam to seek LLM Admission 2023.
National-level Entrance Exams
Below discussed are a few of the national-level entrance exams that are
conducted to enroll students during the LLM admission 2023 process.
CLAT
CLAT 2023 is conducted for admission into 22 NLUs in India. CLAT exam scores
are also considered the benchmark by many self-financed law colleges and
universities. All the NLUs and several other Law colleges offer LLM Admission
based on the candidate’s CLAT Scores.
The eligibility criteria for appearing for CLAT exams are as follows,
Candidates must have a 3-year LLB degree or a 3-year integrated LLB
degree or an equivalent LLB degree from a recognized University.
Candidates must score at least 55% marks for General/ OBC/ SAP
category, and 50% for SC/ST category.
LSAT
LSAT is the Law School Admission Test. LSAT is an entrance exam which is
conducted by the Pearson VUE India on behalf of the Law School Admission
Council (LSAC).
The Eligibility Criteria is that candidates must have completed a
graduation degree in law.
AILET
All India Law Entrance Test is an annual law entrance examination organized
by National Law University, Delhi. It is conducted to select candidates for
programmes such as B.A, LLB, LLM and Doctorate through AILET.
The Eligibility Criteria is candidates must hold a completed B.L or LLB graduate
degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for
SC/ST candidates).
AP LAWCET

State-Level Entrance Exams
It is directed for those candidates who are looking for affirmation in 3-year LLB
and 5-year coordinated LLB undergraduate programs offered by different
government and private law institutes of Andhra Pradesh.
The Eligibility Criteria for pursuing AP LAWCET is candidates must hold a
completed B.L or LLB graduate degree from a recognized University with a
minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).
AP PGLCET
AP PGLCET 2020 is an online i.e., computer-based test and it is conducted in
various exam centers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. AP PGLCET 2020
question-type will be MCQ-based.
The Eligibility Criteria for pursuing AP PGLCET is candidates must have passed
LLB/BL 3/5-Year degree from a recognized university or college.
• Students appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination can also
apply for AP PGLCET.
• A minimum of 50% (for general) aggregate marks are required to register
for AP PGLECET exam.
• For SC/ ST category, a minimum of 45% aggregate marks is required.
University-Level Entrance Exams

DU LLM Entrance Exam
DU LLM Entrance Exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on
behalf of Delhi University for admission into various undergraduate,
postgraduate and Doctorate courses such as arts, commerce, law, engineering,
science, education, etc.
DU LLM Entrance Exam scores are accepted by the Delhi University.
Eligibility Criteria is that students should clear either the 3 years or 5 years LLB
degree with 50% for general, 45% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST.
LLM Admission 2023: Preparation Tips
Here are a few points to help you in clearing the LLM entrance exams:
Prepare thoroughly for the entrance exams conducted for LLM. It is advised
to start preparing well in advance to have ample time for revision.
Solve and practice the previous year’s question papers along with the
model tests which are available on the official websites of the entrance
exams or on the internet.
Practice with mock tests and time yourself while attempting the practice
papers.
