MTech Admission 2023 in top engineering colleges begins usually after the GATE
registration and exam. To seek admission to the MTech course candidates have
to sit for any national or state, or university-level entrance exams such as GATE,
SRMJEEE, TANCET, etc. GATE COAP 2023 registrations will be done from March
18, 2023, to seek MTech Admission 2023 in 23 participating universities. IIIT Delhi
MTech Admissions are also ongoing. The round 2 IIIT Delhi MTech admissions are
open till June 13, 2023. IITs and NITs have also opened their MTech Admission
2023.
GATE 2023 Exam was concluded on February 04, 05, 11, and 12, 2023, and the
GATE Result was announced on March 16, 2023, to offer MTech Admission 2023.
MTech admission in IITs and IISc Bangalore takes place through GATE COAP
(Common Offer Acceptance Portal). GATE COAP is a platform where 23
participating institutes put their admission offers for those who have registered
for counseling. GATE COAP 2023 Registration began on March 18, 2023.
Candidates can register online through the IIT KGP GATE COAP 2023 official
website, @coap.iitkgp.ac.in to seek MTech Admission 2023 in top colleges.
Candidates who appeared for GATE 2023/ 2022/ 2021 with a valid scorecard are
eligible to apply through COAP 2023 portal. Shiv Nadar University was also
inviting applications for its MTech program in AI and Data Science till April 24,
2023.

MTech Admission 2023 without GATE
The eligibility criteria for direct admission to the MTech program without GATE is
• Candidates must hold a B.E. or BTech degree with the minimum qualifying
marks, which varies college-wise.
• Candidates applying to the MTech program via sponsored seats need to
have at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
Sponsored MTech Admission 2023 without GATE
• Candidates can seek direct MTech Admission 2023 without a GATE
scorecard through a sponsored seat.
• The Sponsored MTech Admission 2023 is based on a merit list as released by
different colleges and universities.
• Candidates must need to have a minimum of 2 years of work experience
while applying for Direct MTech Admission 2023
• Some universities also require a No Objection Certificate by the candidate’s
employer and the employer must take full responsibility for their financial
expenses.
Direct MTech Admission 2023 without GATE
It is very much possible to get admission to the MTech program without
sitting for the GATE exam. This is possible via direct admission, as
candidates can apply directly to the official website of the college they
want to pursue, and submit the application form by filling in the necessary
details.
Candidates will then need to appear for university-level or state-level
entrance examinations like VITEE, AP PGCET, etc; if they have not scored a
very high CGPA in their undergraduate degree.
Some of the best colleges for direct MTech admission are Aligarh Muslim
University, Banaras Hindu University, Jamia Millia Islamia, University of
Delhi, etc.
MTech Admission Process 2023
To get admission to the MTech courses, in the top colleges of India, candidates have to crack the entrance exams that are conducted at the national, university and state levels. Candidates can access the application form from the official portal of the college where they want to apply.
MTech Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have a BTech or BE degree from a recognized educational
institute with a valid entrance exam score, if applicable.
Candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate scores in their
undergraduate program
They must have studied Maths, Science, Statistics, Computer Domains or an
equivalent of these subjects.
There is no age restriction to seek MTech Admission 2023, and candidates
appearing in the final year of their U program can also apply.
MTech Admission 2023: Step Wise Guide
First, candidates have to apply at the official website of the college they
want to pursue with their valid entrance exam scores.
They need to fill out the application form and pay the application fee.
A merit list will be issued by the college authority to shortlist candidates.
Shortlisted candidates will have to report to the college either online or
offline.
Final selection will be done via their performance in the interview in WAT, PI,
or GD.
MTech Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria to get permission to sit for the
entrance.
• Candidates must have secured a minimum of 6.5 CGPA or 60% aggregate
marks in their undergraduate degree.
• They must have qualified for the GATE or any other state or university-level
entrance exam.
• Reserved category candidates get a relaxation of 5%.
• Candidates must have done an undergraduate course in a relevant
discipline to be eligible to apply for the MTech Admission 2023.
MTech Admission 2023: Counseling Round
After qualifying all the phases of the admission process, candidates need to go
through the counseling round.
The first step is the online registration where candidates need to sign up at
the CCMT website and pay the requisite fees. It’s INR 2500 for unreserved
candidates and INR 2000 for reserved candidates.
The next step is the online seat allotment which is awarded based on the
candidates’ merit. They can download the seat allotment letters online and
pay INR 30,000 upon confirmation.
After the seat allotment process, the selected candidates need to upload
the required documents for verification.
The submitted documents are verified by the respective officers of the
concerned institutes.
After successful document verification, candidates need to pay the balance
admission fee to the concerned institutes online.
