MD Admission 2023 is based on national or university-level entrance exams such as NEET PG, INI CET, etc. The NEET PG 2023 result for MD Admissions 2023 has been declared. Candidates who wish to pursue an MD, or Doctor of Medicine course are required to appear for the NEET PG or INI CET entrance examination.

Several states conduct MD Admission 2023 based on the NEET PG scores followed by state-level counselling sessions. The NEET PG 2023 was conducted on March 05, 2023, and the result was declared on March 14, 2023. AIIMS has also released the INI CET 2023 schedule to offer MD Admission 2023 for the January and July sessions. INI CET January session result has been released on November 19, 2022. The registrations for INI CET July Session were ongoing from March 07 to 31, 2023. The July session exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 07, 2023.

Candidates must register for the NEET PG to pursue the MD Course in top medical colleges of India. Students who wish to pursue MD Admission 2023 in the AIIMS, must qualify for the INI CET 2023.

MD Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

To pursue MD, candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria:

• This Entrance Exam is applicable to only Indian citizens.
• Candidates must have an MBBS degree or a Provisional MBBS Pass
• Certificate recognized by the Medical Council Act of India (MCI).

A minimum of one year of internship is required. Note: Candidates who have qualified MBBS from the state of J&K are NOT Eligible for All India 50% Quota seats. However, the applicants who are provided with a nomination by the Government of India, under Central Pool Seats to pursue an MBBS from the Medical colleges or universities located in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) are eligible for the All India 50% quota seats.

MD Admission 2023: Application Procedure

NEET PG 2023 Application Form will be available at the official website i.e nbe.edu.in in the online mode. The MD Admission Process is given below.

• Open the official website of NBE NEET PG.
• Click on the ‘New Registration’ link.
• Read the instructions properly.
• Fill out the registration form properly for getting a User ID and Password.
• Use the credentials and log in again.
• Fill in the application form with all the necessary information asked and upload a passport-sized    photo and signature.
• Choose your test preference city(s) and pay the fees of the entrance examination.
• Take a printout of the filled NEET PG 2023 Application Form with the transaction ID printed on it.    Important Points:
• Application fee: INR 3,750 (for General/ EWS and OBC categories) and INR 2,750 (for SC/ST/PWD    categories)
• The modes of payment for MD Application forms are through net banking, debit and credit cards    only.
• After the last date, the registration link of NEET PG 2023 will be completely disabled.

MD Admission 2023: Counselling Process and Merit List

NEET PG Counselling for MD Admission 2023 will be conducted in 3 rounds.
    • Round -1
    • Round -2
    • Mop-up round (Final Round)
Candidates will be called for counselling as per their ranks (All India Rank, All India 50 % Quota Category Rank, All India 50 % Quota Rank and State Quota Rank).

Candidates need to fill in their choice of courses and colleges in the counselling process. Admission of candidates in the MD Course will depend on their rank secured in the NEET PG entrance exam, filled preferences, and lastly, the availability of seats. Documents Required at the time of NEET PG Counselling are:

• NEET PG 2023 Admit Card and Rank Card
• 10th class mark sheet and passing certificate
• 12th class mark sheet and passing certificate
• Graduation certificate
• Category Certificate (if applicable)
• Transfer Certificate
• Counselling call letter
• Recent passport size photographs

The counselling process will be organized by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) and DGHS (Directorate General of Health Services) in the online mode.
Counselling will be conducted by them for giving admission to 50% All India Quota Seats. The State Government will take care of the seat allotment for the rest of 50% seats.

NEET PG 2023 Exam Day Guidelines

• Candidates must reach the examination centre at least 30 minutes prior to the examination time.
• Candidates are not allowed to bring any electronic gadgets like calculators, smart watches, pagers,   etc.
• Candidates cannot carry bags, pouches, writing pads, etc. to the examination centres.
